Garden this Summer - June 2009
Here are a few pics of our awesome garden this summer! Was so loverly to have fresh goodies even though it is work. Canned dill beans, banana pickles, marinra sauce, tomato juice and froze beans & zucchini.
Zucchini and Squash did much better this year than last!
Sunflowers and Zinnias - nice for bouquets

Red beets - ate them all and had none to can so that is high on list for next year

Tomatoes are one of my favorites

Weekend in PA - June
We went to Nita parents place in PA in June and had a great time
The loverly fish pond – maybe we can make one at our house one day
Anijah took Nita for a hair raising ride on the golf cart – no worries I had a ride as well
Here is a view from the porch Saturday morning – the fog was so pretty
We got up early and went to pick strawberries
Scrumptious yummy strawberries they are – made some jam
Nita parents bought a house recently in town that has wonderful landscaping however has not been kept up so we were working over there all day. We moved walls, stones and flowers – this particular area we really did some major changing
In the midst trying to get it looking nice
COMPLETED
Nita and I picked up Anijah on the way there – she stayed with the Kauffmans when she was a baby and is now 13 years old and they had not seen her in 4 yrs. The weekend went really well!

Friends
Sunday I went with my friends to church in MD that I have not seen for 4 years! We figured out the little gal was a baby when I saw them last. They are on the worship team and so in church the kids were not with them but when the little kids went up for prayer during the offering I said to Nita that little girls is so adorable. Only to find out later it is Catherine and Fischer little gal. The boy is a split image of his father and very active but adorable!
It was wonderful to connect with them again and hope to stay in touch more!

Thai Dinner
I will begin with March events.....I bought a Thai Dinner for 6 at the Dayspring Auction in the fall. There was 6 of us that went together and bought it - Wade and Alfy were the cooks. We sure had some awesome food and it seemed like we were at a restaurant the way we were treated. We had the event at Bob & Susie Yoder and they also helped Wade and Alfy pull this off

Baby Shower for the Hershbergers
Delilah, Nita and I did a baby shower for Ruthie in February. Reiley Kate was born January 12th prematurely but healthy. She is gaining weight and off of everything except the feeding tube today. I pray she can come home soon!
